When asked what makes our pies so special, the answer is easy: the
crust. Just Pies makes a light-flaky crust that will take you back
to the homemade pies that grandma used to bake. The recipe is
simple: flour, a touch of sugar, and the secret ingredient, lard.
For our
fruit pies, you will only find quality
IQF fruit. No canned fillings here! Our fruit is picked from all
over the country, whether it is strawberries from California, red
raspberries from Oregon, or just red tart cherries from our neighbor
to the north, Michigan. The fruit is first picked fresh, cleaned,
and then individually quick frozen (IQF). This IQF process allows us
to bring you the freshest tasting fruit fillings all year long.
What about our cream pies?? Nothing but
whole milk, farm fresh eggs, and grade AA butter there. We make our
meringue from scratch using egg whites, and our cream is whipped
fresh daily. Not only that, but our bananas are received fresh every
morning, and our key lime juice comes straight from Key West,
Florida. |
